Résumé
The Rocky Mountain Element is a versatile cross-country bike praised for its lightweight design, efficient climbing, and capable descending. It features adjustable geometry and suspension through the RIDE-4 system, offering a smooth and responsive ride. While it excels in technical terrain and racing scenarios, some riders may find it under-gunned for more aggressive downhill trails.
Lightweight and efficient for climbing
Versatile with adjustable geometry and suspension
Capable descender with stable handling
Not ideal for flatter trails
May require burlier components for aggressive downhill
Downhill performance could be enhanced with bigger brakes and wider rims
The Element gives me a lot of confidence when it comes to racing, giving me a huge advantage at an event. It’s incredibly light and efficient but somehow rides like a trail bike, a combination that eliminates any weak points and allows me to push it on every section of a racecourse.
The new Element joins the crowded 120mm rear, 130mm front 29er club.
If you were to have one mountain bike and you want it to do a little bit of everything, from technical trails to steep and fast ones, but you also have no interest in lugging around 150mm or more and travel, and want it to be fantastically light and efficient, then I can’t imagine this leaving you disappointed.Pinkbike

An insanely fast, XC race bike that's eager to take on the technical lines. Buy if you have deep pockets and want an insanely fast, trail-bike capable Canadian singletrack missile
Crazy fast, wonderfully capable, carbon everywhere, stout Fox 34 fork, Reverb dropper post, SRAM Eagle
Delicate Ikon tires, Valor wheels overwhelmed, costs more than most used cars
