Ride1Up Roadster V3 ST Review - Sleek And Affordable

févr. 2026 · Mike East

Ride1Up Roadster V3 review with full performance testing. We test the low-step frame's motor power, battery range, internally routed cables, and ride quality. A full spec breakdown, color option, and real-world performance analysis of this sleek e-bike.

Observations
  • The Ride1Up Roadster V3 continues the legacy of the popular Roadster lineup, now with updated specs that make it more capable for 2025. The frame design stays sleek and minimal, now with a 500W motor with torque sensor and a 28MPH max assistance speed, all while priced at a very competitive $1,395.

  • The Ride1Up Roadster V3 offers two drivetrain options: a single-speed Dayco Power carbon belt drive if you want simple and low maintenance, or a 9-speed microShift Advent setup if you need gearing options. Frame choices include Low-Step, Regular High-Step, and Large High-Step. There's also a suspension fork model now if you want front travel. So, yeah, there’s pretty much something for everyone here.

  • I've been a fan since the first MIVICE motor paired to an Intui-Drive torque sensor I tested. They're nearly silent, very smooth and natural. It didn't feel like I was riding an 'ebike' but rather I just felt like I was in better shape than I actually am. The 360Wh battery gave me 48 miles in testing, which beat the brand's 40-mile estimate and works fine for daily commuting or weekend fun.

  • I love how Ride1Up ships the Roadster V3 with quality tires regardless of what's available. My test unit had Pirelli Cinturato 700x45c rubber, but you might get Schwalbe G-One RS or Continental Terra Trail. All three are solid gravel tires that handle mixed surfaces well, have low rolling resistance and add to the comfort factor. See Latest Price

Ride1Up Roadster V3 Review | Clearly Evolved

mai 2025 · Griffin Hales

This Light And Sleek City E-Bike Exceeds Expectations At Nearly Every Turn. Ride1Up made its name by delivering e-bikes with parts and performance a step or two above the average of bikes with similar price tags. Now, with the Roadster V3, Ride1Up has expanded the versatility of its city bike model while still equipping the

Points forts
  • The motor power works nearly seamlessly with a rider’s pedal effort. It’s one of the best hub motor/torque sensor pairings we’ve tested.

  • The bike has terrific handling. A stiff frame and fork help move the bike precisely, whether weaving around obstacles or diving into turns.

  • The 44-lb weight is more than manageable for a city bike, but it has more power than most bikes in this weight class.

  • There are many components we don’t find in this price range, like the Schwalbe G One tires or the Shimano Deore drivetrain.

  • Three different frame sizes (including a smaller mid-step frame option) help dial in the fit for different rider heights.

  • It’s one of the cleanest-looking Ride1Up bikes to date! It has a minimalistic look, hidden cables, a lack of splotchy welds, and a nice paint job overall.

Points faibles
  • Given the stiff ride, the flat pedals with grip tape aren’t our favorite. Feet can slip or be bumped out of position.

  • We wish the taillight would have had brake light functionality.
