First Ride: The Atherton S.170E – CNC Lugs Meet Avinox Power

avr. 2026 · Seb Stott

Just for reference, at 191 cm tall (6'3"), the calculator says a size 11 would fit me best, which seems about right for a regular bike, though I think I could go one or two sizes smaller with the added stability of an eMTB. .

Points forts
  • Powerful and intuitive motor with smooth assistance

  • Quiet motor with minimal drag and no clacking on descents

  • High energy density battery (220 Wh/kg) with quick charging

  • Confidence-inspiring chassis stability on gnarly terrain

  • Twelve size options with fine-tuned geometry

Points faibles
  • Wheelie-prone on climbs in higher modes (on undersized prototype)

  • Battery removal is not trailside-friendly

  • No range extender planned

  • Not the lightest in category

  • Limited shipping to UK/Europe until 2027
