Resumen
The Specialized Allez Sprint is a standout aluminium race bike that combines aero optimization with a ride quality reminiscent of carbon frames. It excels in handling and power transfer, making it a favorite for competitive riding, though its stiffness and stock components may detract from comfort and value for some.
One of the best aluminium frames available
Excellent handling and power transfer
Aerodynamic optimization
Good value for money as a capable race bike
Improved aerodynamic optimisation
Average wheels and tyres
Weight penalty versus similarly priced carbon bikes
Stiff frameset can be uncomfortable on rough roads
Industrial, utilitarian aesthetic of welds may not appeal to everyone
Price is considered high for an aluminium bike
The 2022 Allez Sprint proves aluminium can still cut it as a material for race bikes.
For those taking their first foray into serious road riding, the Comp build represents a pretty incredible option for a first bike.
This is a superb bike to sprint on (once used to it), as reactive to pedalling efforts as any bike I’ve ridden, and imbued with sensational handling thanks to that Tarmac geometry.

The Allez Sprint represents a compelling race-ready chassis, with excellent handling, though it could come specced with wider tyres from factory
Fantastic handling
Efficient power transfer
Aerodynamic alloy frame
The included 26c tyres are too narrow for the frame stiffness
Bottle cage bolts rounded off at first use
