Knolly has a new series of bikes out. I've been out on the Warden LT, and here to report on what it's like.
Snappy and agile handling, especially on tight technical trails
Stiff and precise aluminum chassis
Excellent Fox Float X2 and Fox 38 suspension components
Well-thought-out build kit overall
Fun and playful freeride character
Stock Maxxis EXO+ tires inadequate (frequent flats, harsh ride)
Rear suspension not progressive enough – bottoms out easily
Bushing friction initially, though freed up over time
Short rear center makes bike feel compact; requires active weight shifting
Geometry feels a bit dated for 2020
Bike noisy initially (seatpost creak, cable rattle, front end creak)
Derailleur exploded mysteriously; 157mm rear spacing may increase derailleur strikes
No bash guard included
