Specialized Turbo Levo SL Expert

mar 2024

The Specialized Turbo Levo, a flow trail rider's dream, effortlessly navigates lips, roots, and rocks with its lightweight design, albeit with a reduced battery range compared to competitors, making it ideal for those seeking a playful ride with motor assistance.

Highs
  • Extremely light

  • Fun and poppy suspension kinematics

  • Available range extender

Lows
  • 360 Wh battery range may not be enough for some riders

  • Less supple in chunky terrain than the travel numbers would suggest

2026 Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo 4 Long Term

may 2026

This now-discounted, longish-travel, fire-breathing eMTB does many things well

Highs
  • Excellent climbing traction and controllable power

  • Superb cornering ability, quick handling

  • Adjustable geometry (BB height, head angle, chainstay length)

  • Powerful and refined Brose 3.1 motor (120 Nm, 800 W in S-Works)

  • Removable battery with optional range extender

  • In-frame storage and SWAT multi-tool in stem

  • Apple Find My capability (though finicky)

  • Customizable app with Micro Tune

  • Frame-only option available

Lows
  • Expensive even after discount (CAD 16,000 / USD 11,500)

  • Some items overpriced (e.g., Fox Transfer Neo post CAD 1150)

  • Prone to pitching forward on steep, rough descents

  • Feels tippy on deep holes and steep g-outs

  • Only 150/150 mm travel; better suited as trail bike than enduro

  • App data tracking requires 'always' location permission

  • 3D-printed saddle collects mud in wet conditions

  • Find My feature difficult to activate

First Ride Review: Specialized Turbo Levo 4 EVO – More Travel, Still the Same Levo?

abr 2026 · Robin Ulbrich

Specialized clearly categorise the new Turbo Levo 4 EVO with the “E” for Enduro: maximum downhill capability, with climbing more of a means to an end.

Highs
  • Outstanding stability and confidence on steep terrain

  • Incredibly capable downhill

  • Lots of grip and high margin for error

  • Quiet, finely controllable motor

Lows
  • Climbing is more of a means to an end

  • Less agile than shorter-travel Levo models

  • Noticeable suspension bob on climbs

  • No fast charger despite premium price

Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo 4 e-MTB review

jul 2025

With its latest generation e-MTB, Specialized has the likes of Amflow and Bosch set well within its sights as the S-Works Turbo Levo 4 boasts big power and serious integration. With that, it provides an approachable and easy to get on with ride that’ll please a serious range of riders, new and experienced. However, you’ll have to pay for the privilege, the GENIE tech may be an acquired taste, and it’s not quite as light as I would expect for the rather serious outlay.

Specialized Turbo Levo Gen 4 Review (2025) | ElectricBikeReport

abr 2025 · Justin Taylor

Specialized enters the 100Nm of torque club with its newly launched 3.1 motor More torque, more power. It’s a move that we expected to see across eMTB motor manufacturers ever since DJI launched its Avinox, which can reach up to 120 Nm of torque with a max output of 1000 watts. With up to 111Nm

Highs
  • Motor torque up to 111 Nm and power up to 720 watts

  • Fast charging (80% in under 1 hour with 5A charger, 12A charger available)

  • SWAT downtube storage for tools

  • Well-spec'd components (no need to upgrade)

  • Price cut on S-Works and Comp models

  • Modular battery system (840Wh standard, 600Wh and 250Wh extender available)

Lows
  • Shipped with 2.3" tires instead of 2.4" (but gravity casings are good)

  • Motor on previous Gen 2.2 tended to get louder over time (noted for Gen 4?)
