Samenvatting

The Merida One-Sixty is a versatile enduro bike that excels in steep and rough terrain, offering plush suspension and impressive braking power. While it's praised for its stability and comfort on descents, some reviews note it can feel sluggish on flatter trails and has a few component-specific drawbacks. Its value and performance in challenging conditions are frequently highlighted.

Pros
  • Supple suspension provides excellent grip

  • SRAM Code R brakes offer powerful stopping

  • Plush and comfortable ride on descents

  • Great value for the specifications

  • Stable and secure at high speeds

Cons
  • Feels sluggish on flatter trails

  • Handlebar width may be too narrow for some

  • Suspension can feel linear and too soft for heavier riders

  • Short reach and sharp angles feel nervous at speed

  • Carbon version limited to size L

Merida One-Sixty 600 review

jul 2018

The One-Sixty 600 is the most affordable model in Merida’s 160mm travel range but there are no shortcuts. It’s packing some decent equipment and the performance is nothing short of impressive, though it could stand to lose a bit of weight if I’m being super critical and I’d love to see a compression/climb switch on the rear shock. Merida One-Sixty 800 (2018) review - MBR

jun 2018 · Alan Muldoon

The switch to aluminium not only expands the range, it also means the Merida One-Sixty now comes in four frame sizes rather than being restricted to three.

Hoogtepunten
  • Great sizing and spec.

Dieptepunten
  • Slow to get going.

Merida One-Sixty 800 review

mei 2018 · Rob Weaver

Not the liveliest or most fun on flatter trails but a total riot when things get steep and rough. Buy if you love hammering down steep, roughed-up trails where you're happy for the bike to do all the work

Hoogtepunten
  • Supple suspension dishes out loads of grip, great brakes, smooth easy-to-adjust rear shock

Dieptepunten
  • Doesn't deliver a particularly lively ride, hard work on flatter trails, bar shape won't be for everyone

MERIDA ONE-SIXTY 8000 Review

feb 2018 · Christoph Bayer

The MERIDA ONE-SIXTY has already been able to convince us in previous reviews. Back then the bike was held back somewhat by poor componentry choices, but surely this shouldn’t be an issue with a top-of-the-range modes. Or is it?
