Riassunto
The Yeti SB165 is a high-performance enduro bike designed for aggressive riding on steep and technical terrain. It features innovative suspension technology, including the Switch Infinity linkage, which provides a balance of small bump sensitivity and mid-stroke support. The bike's geometry updates, such as a slacker head angle and longer reach, enhance its descending capabilities, while its efficient climbing performance surprises for a bike with 165mm of travel. However, it requires a committed riding style and comes with a high price tag.
Innovative suspension with Switch Infinity linkage
Efficient climbing for a long-travel bike
Aggressive geometry for confident descending
Playful and fast handling
High-quality construction and components
High maintenance needs and costs
Requires aggressive riding style
Expensive to buy and maintain
No XS size offered
Fragile sidewalls on tires
The SB165 is by far the most efficient long-travel 27.5-inch bike we’ve ever ridden.
If I decided tomorrow that I was going to race big mountain enduros, this would be my bike of choice without a doubt.Bicycling
The Yeti SB165 is a phenomenal performer, as I’ve said all along. Considering how it rides alone, there’s very little that can come close, let alone beat it.

Freeride does indeed live, but don't make me say those words...

Call it big, call it brawny, just don't call it enduro.

Yeti’s got a new long-travel 27.5-inch bike, but you probably saw that coming. Also, it rips, but you probably saw that coming too.

Small-wheel, big travel, super-enduro shredder that’s surprisingly versatile
Yeti's new school geometry is on point for rapid descending and technical climbing
Suspension is stable, predictable and settled
Efficient suspension and steep seat angle make tricky climbs a doddle
XL size could do with a higher-rise bar
Not exactly cheap
Small wheels make less sense now than they used to

Breaking news: The new hard-charging 180 /165 mm travel, 27.5” wheeled Yeti SB165 2020 is aimed firmly at air junkies and park-rats.
Beautiful construction and well-designed hardware
Suspension balances support with plushness
Great tune on Fox DHX2 shock
The Exo+ tires may look good on the scales, but such a bike needs a tougher sidewall
The smaller 27.5” wheels do struggle more in holes, most riders would still be better with the SB150
The high price cannot be ignored

The newest, punk rock Yeti shares the family DNA, and shreds with irreverence and delight, Yeti’s newest model, called SB165, is a 27.5-inch wheel, 165 mm travel bike with a Fox Factory DHX2 coil shock, and 180mm reduced offset Fox Factory Grip 2 36 fork.

On Tuesday, the Golden, Colorado- based bike maker lifted the lid on its latest smaller-wheeled trail smasher, the SB165, which is the slackest and longest travel option in their line-up. - Mtbr.com
