It’ll also blur the lines between choosing a dually or hardtail, because when it comes down to it, if the terrain suits a hardtail nothing beats a carbon 29er when you’re really hammering on the pedals.
Unfortunately the killer looks and many clever details don’t make up for the poor steering precision of the Trek Procaliber 9.9 SL.

Impact-smoothing super-light racer, but needs fatter tyres and pedalling bounce can be irritating. Buy if you like your greyhound hardtail with a side order of comfort, and are prepared to make a kit tweak or two
