Huge amounts of traction from the 29+ tyres.
Stranglehold dropout allows for 29+, 29" or 27.5+ wheels.
Geometry is fun and lively.
Manitou fork axle is very fiddly.
No dropper post.

Call it what you want — tweeners, plus size, midfat, skinny fat — plus size bikes are here and the industry is latching on, for better or for worse. By mid-summer 2016, you can expect to see a 27.5+ bike in the wheelhouse of every major bike brand. However, 29.5+ is far less common, with Trek Bikes being one of the only major brands to adopt these extra tall, extra wide crawlers.

[ad3] Trek aveva presentato la nuova Stache da 29 Plus alla Sea Otter un paio di mesi fa. La casa americana rimane fedele alla sua tradizione di “andare grosso” e non si accontenta di una 27.5 Plus, ma propone direttamente una 29 Plus. Era lecito aspettarselo dall’azienda che, con Gary Fisher, ha “inventato” il formato 29 pollici. Eccoci dunque di fronte questa front suspended piuttosto unica, pensata come trail bike.
