Riassunto
The Specialized Enduro is a high-performance enduro bike praised for its exceptional downhill capabilities, efficient pedaling, and innovative suspension design. It excels in rough terrain, offering a blend of downhill-bike plow and trail-bike play. While it climbs adequately, its true strength lies in descending, making it a favorite among aggressive riders.
Exceptional downhill performance
Efficient pedaling and suspension design
Innovative SWAT storage system
Comfortable and confident handling
Updated geometry for aggressive riding
Not ideal for climbing due to downhill bias
Higher price point
Some components may not meet expectations for the price
It’s the first Specialized FSR ever made that can genuinely be ridden uphill without requiring a lockout of some kind.
The new Enduro is going to make a mark. It's a bike conceived with lofty ambitions and birthed into a family eager for a fresh new face.
The Specialized S-Works Enduro is still one of the best, if not the best enduro bike on the market, but it’s not fundamentally designed to hunt down the seconds on an EWS stage.

The Specialized S-Works Enduro won our high-end group test and was crowned the best enduro bike of 2020. However, the Team version fell behind in this test. Why is that?
Super plush rear suspension
Geometry enables up- or downsizing
Fast and agile
SWAT compartment is still brilliant
Tires lack grip
Öhlins fork is inferior to the competition
Calls for a more committed riding style in tight sections

Sharing several strands of DNA with Demo 29 downhill bike, the latest Specialized Enduro Elite is a major departure from the X-frame design of old.
Blurs boundaries between enduro and downhill
Lower-tier components

We've been getting the thrills and a few spills in while wearing the latest summer threads from Specialized to see how they hold up to trail life
100% recycled
SPF protective
Loose without too much flap.
Crashproof
Good all-round fabric performance
Accurate, mobile shorts cut
Well placed pockets
Relatively pricey
Not the coolest
Beware the right leg 'pocket'

The new Specialized Enduro is a big bike in many ways. Yes, it has a lot of travel, big wheels and stacked numbers. But it is also big in a metaphysical sense, as it proves beyond a doubt that a bike can exist in two different realms at once. This is because it’s also light, snappy, poppy and playful, all in despite of what the numbers might say. As an evolutionary tangent of Specialized’s downhill beast, the Demo, it’s not a surprise that this bike is one of the hardest charging and most capable two-wheeled contraptions we’ve tested. 170mm of travel, a 1274mm wheel base and a head tube angle of 63.9 degrees will do that. Yet what really stands out about the Enduro is how comfortable it is in every situation—climbing included.

The Specialized Enduro is not for everyone, but for the people that it is for, prepare to be amazed. This is a purpose-built bike that will take you down trails you'd be second guessing on other rigs. The downside is, it'll make you hurt on the climbs.

This bike is all about downhill speed.
Stellar downhill speed and handling.
SWAT storage it downtube rules.
Reach-based sizing.
Gives up previous model's all-trail versatility.

Before we could ever take the first run at Northstar on the new Enduro, we had to climb. Instead of hopping on the perfectly functional chair lift, we pedaled right past it from mid-mountain, and continued upwards until we reached the top. Fortunately, we were reunited with the chair lift on the next run, but …
| Telaio | The new Enduro features a full-carbon frameset, boasting 170mm of suspension travel in an all-new design that increases your control and speed over the roughest sections of trail, yet also boasts exceptional pedaling efficiency. We’ve also given the new Enduro aggressive “long, low and slack” geometry for a more balanced and confident feel at speed. Finally, you’ll find a host smart details, including our SWAT™ Door down tube storage integration, a creak-free threaded BB, and painless internal cable routing.
