Riassunto
The Scott Spark trail bike is praised for its lightweight, agile frame and innovative TwinLoc suspension system, which offers versatile ride modes for varied conditions. It excels in climbing efficiency and descending control, though some reviews note issues with suspension balance and the complexity of the TwinLoc lever. Overall, it's a capable and fun trail bike with a few ergonomic and spec-related drawbacks.
Lightweight and agile frame
Versatile TwinLoc suspension system
Excellent climbing efficiency and traction
Innovative design and integration features
Responsive handling on descents
Complex and awkward TwinLoc lever
Suspension balance issues when pushed hard
Noisy components and cable rattling
Limited cockpit adjustability
Some spec choices hold back full potential
Expect to explain that 'No, it's not an E-bike' to lots of people –especially when they see how fast this piece of slick carbon sculpture climbs.
The Spark is a very fun and capable descender that’s held back by a couple of spec choices.
The Scott Spark RC is without doubt the most capable XC bike we’ve tested.
The suspension of the Spark generates huge amounts of traction, swallowing up brake bumps and root carpets almost unnoticed.
Maintaining speed is effortless, and generating speed comes naturally.

Slack, longer, and a whole lot more capable. Scott’s new Spark RC is more than just a race bike.

The new Spark includes a list of features and design decisions not often seen on uncompromising race bikes.
Unique horizontal shock in downtube saves weight and lowers center of gravity.
Straight seat tube allows long dropper posts (150mm all sizes, 200mm larger frames).
Two bottle mounts with external threads.
In-frame storage with 'save the day kit' (removable for racing).
Frame is approximately 200g lighter than previous generation.
Flex-pivot rear suspension is sensitive and keeps wheel planted.
Progressive leverage ratio aids pedaling support.
Slack head angle options (65.4°/65.9°/66.4°) with adjustable headset cups.
Integrated magnetic covers and clean cable routing.
Quiet frame despite complicated cabling.
Low stack height may cause aggressive riding position with heavy hands.
Full Flight Attendant system is overwhelming to set up initially.
Frame weight is competitive but not the lightest (Specialized Epic slightly lighter).

This prototype Scott Spark RC cross-country bike was spotted racing the XC World Cup, so we took a closer look!
Easy access to AXS battery
Lower weight in frame
More stable handling
Ground clearance not an issue
Simpler and cleaner suspension on driveside
Threaded bottom bracket
New seatpost clamping mechanism
Complex multi-part link around bottom bracket may collect dirt and increase maintenance
Does not fit 32" wheels

A great frame that's held back by some below-par spec choices. It’s not the best value either
Great geometry for fast-paced trail riding
Super-smooth suspension
Well balanced when airborne
Clean frame design
TwinLoc lever awkward to use
Suspension bobs under power when left open
Brakes and rotors need upgrade
Front tyre lacks bite
Drivetrain isn’t as good as we’d expect for the price

Is the 910 version of Scott’s racer the perfect XC/Trail crossover? Guy Kesteven has been hitting every sort of track and challenge on it to find out who will love it and who won’t
Super sleek, stiff and light frame
Low overall bike weight
Excellent Fox 34 and Shimano XT trail spec
Unique Scott multi-mode suspension
Well priced for the tech
Lots of levers and clattery cables
Front/rear suspension balance is slightly off
Bar is a wonky shape
Suspension creaks after a while

With an eye-catching integrated shock design, three-position suspension lockout, and 130mm fork, the Spark is a unique beast intended to conquer any trail.
