Riassunto
The Rocky Mountain Slayer is a highly capable enduro bike, praised for its adjustable geometry, progressive suspension, and confident downhill performance. It offers a choice between 29-inch and 27.5-inch wheel sizes, with the latter providing increased travel. The bike's RIDE-4 adjustment system and refined kinematics contribute to its versatility and improved ride quality.
Adjustable geometry with RIDE-4 system
Progressive suspension for improved performance
Choice of wheel sizes (29-inch and 27.5-inch)
Confident and capable downhill
Steep seat tube angle enhances climbing
35-pound weight may be hefty for some
Size-specific shock tuning may not suit all riders
Lack of integrated frame protection
The Slayer is like having your own personal skills coach—it will give you confidence and inspire you to push through the pucker factor.
It’s a hell of a stock build that allows the Slayer to be pushed to the limits, and it held up through months of demanding testing.
The new Slayer straddles the line between enduro racing and park riding.

2001 was a notable year for Rocky Mountain Bicycles. In October of that year, the Canadian brand’s team rider and prophetic pioneer of freeride, Wade Simmons, smashed, crashed and hucked his way to victory at the inaugural Red Bull Rampage in Virgin, Utah. That same year also saw the release of Rocky Mountain’s Slayer — a “trail” bike before the term had entered our vernacular.

The latest Rocky Mountain Slayer eats trails for tea and cleanses its palate with boulders and rubble.
The shape is perfect for what is ultimately a downhill bike that can be pedalled back up. There’s space for a water bottle!
Tall head tube could be a turn-off for some people who want it low on the front. Spec’d grips were on the narrow side.

On the flip side of that equation, the Slayer felt like a big bike when speeds were slow or when climbing.
