Riassunto

The Radon Swoop is a versatile enduro bike that offers great value for money, with a high-end spec that includes Fox suspension and SRAM components. It excels in rough terrain with stable handling and minimal pedal kickback, though some reviews note a less sensitive rear suspension and occasional harshness until deeper into its travel. The bike's climbing ability is comfortable, but low anti-squat can affect acceleration.

Review: Radon Swoop 9.0

mag 2019

After spending months thrashing on the Radon Swoop in the worst the UK woods could throw at this burly 29er, we were ready to share our thoughts on the Radon's performance.

Radon Swoop 8.0 2019 Review – High performance on a budget

apr 2019 · Christoph Bayer

The Radon Swoop 8.0 2019 is a non-nonsense 29er enduro bike. It's geometry and value for money look great on paper, but how does it perform on the trails?

Pro
  • Great spec

  • Outstanding value for money

  • Very balanced handling

  • Excellent suspension

Contro
  • Constantly dragging/noisy brake rotors

  • Low engagement hub

  • Frame details look a bit rustic

Radon Swoop 170 8.0 review

apr 2017 · Rob Weaver

Superb geometry, well-balanced suspension and a killer spec list for the money. The Swoop’s credentials and ride behaviour are seriously impressive and give you confidence when tackling just about any trail out there. Buy if you want a hard hitting trail bike with well-balanced suspension, fantastic geometry and a great spec, all at a good price

Pro
  • Bang up to date geometry with great angles and three totally usable geometry settings

  • Great spec with some top-end kit, which is fantastic considering the price

  • The Vivid Air means even more adjustment allowing you to really get the Swoop dialled in

  • In the lowest setting, the 21mm bottom helps contribute to one of the most planted, confident rides we’ve ever experienced

  • The relatively steep seat angle helps with climbing

  • Suspension balance and overall composure is hard to fault

  • Pedals well considering the amount of travel on tap

Contro
  • Tyres aren’t as tough or as tacky as they need to be

  • Lack of low speed compression lever/climb switch means climbing isn’t as efficient as it could be

  • Not in the shops

  • Not a particularly long effective top tube so doesn’t feel as stretched as others when sat down pedalling
