A fun-to-ride, versatile bike with a good, if not exceptional, parts spec for the money
Well-built and versatile frame
Brakes and drivetrain work efficiently
Tyres are fast-rolling and efficient, helping on climbs
On technical or loose terrain, a burlier front tyre wouldn’t go amiss
Fork feels flexy in extended 29er form without a thru-axle

The Marin Bobcat Trail 4 is Marin's entry level hardtail offering. Entry level can often mean loud in looks but low in terms of geometry and riding said bike on anything other than a canal toe path.
