Riassunto
The Kona Process 134 is a versatile and well-rounded trail bike, praised for its modern geometry, effective suspension, and solid downhill performance. It excels in handling and comfort, making it suitable for a wide range of terrains. While it's not the lightest or the fastest climber, its playful and efficient ride quality has been consistently highlighted.
Modern geometry and comfortable ride
Effective suspension with good mid-stroke support
Versatile and capable on various terrains
Solid downhill performance
Well-built and durable frame
Not the lightest or fastest climber
Some components may require upgrades
Rear end stiffness under heavy braking
Heavy weight noticeable on climbs
It’s the perfect bike from the perfect company for a long-term test.
The 134 is the shortest travel option in Kona’s Process mountain bike family but this top spec 29er makes the most of every millimeter on descents while still hustling the climbs.
The Process 134 covers a lot of terrain in a way that’s fun and engaging, and although not entirely optimized for either end of the spectrum, I could be comfortable on all-day XC rides, bike park flow trails, and moderately gnarly tech as long as you're not trying to win.

The least expensive Process needs a serious stopping upgrade to unleash its full potential.
For a 35lb 29er, the 134 is relatively nimble and easy to toss around
Great suspension performance
There are far better climbers
Handling felt unbalanced, nervous on loose trails
Toss the Alhonga brakes before you get tossed
