Riassunto
The Giant Reign is praised for its versatile performance, excelling as a capable climber with efficient suspension and geometry while delivering composed and playful handling on descents. Its Maestro suspension system offers a balanced ride with good small-bump sensitivity and support, though some reviews note limitations in rough terrain and travel. Overall, it's seen as a strong contender in the enduro category, blending agility with stability.
Excellent climbing abilities
Composed and predictable suspension
Playful and fast downhill performance
Good value and competitive pricing
Lightweight and agile handling
Limited rear travel in rough terrain
Suspension setup can feel unbalanced or lose efficiency
Issues with components like dropper posts and brake rub
Not the most comfortable on high-speed, demanding trails
The Reign SX 29 is basically a monster truck on the trail, but one with a spandex-wearing alter ego.
If you’re after an engaging, exciting ride that’ll need to be ridden with focus and commitment to get the most out of it, the Reign is certainly worth considering.
It’s a great do-everything bike for the rider who prefers aggressive, nasty trails to smooth, snaking singletrack, but still needs to get to the top of the mountain under pedal-power.
The Giant Reign 29 repeats the mantra that longer is better.
Put simply this bike is both fun and fast.

The new Reign has a lot going for it—it’s a looker, it climbs and descends beautifully, and above all it’s fun.

First Ride Giant Reign Advanced 29 Words by Justin Serna | Photos by Nic Hall The Giant Reign has definitely reached an iconic status after 15 years of service. Although Giant hasn't historically offered that lust-worthy image or boutique vibe in the past,

To commence the launch of the new 29″ Reign series, Giant selected a world class destination of Revelstoke, British Columbia to give us an opportunity to try out the new bike. We can confidently say that the trails in and around Revelstoke provided the perfect testing grounds for the bike. A good pedal, some truck assisted shuttles, and a 8,500 ft descent through rooty, loose, and loamy single track via a Helicopter drop gave us more than an adequate feeling of how the new Reign rides. For a quick look at our Heli drop, check out the video below, and
