Riassunto

The Felt AR is a high-performance aero road bike that excels in speed and aerodynamics, offering a comfortable ride with versatile features like thru-axles, disc brakes, and clearance for wider tires. While it's praised for its straight-line speed, climbing ability, and handling at high velocities, some reviews note its heavier weight and vague handling at slower speeds. The bike is designed with racers in mind, featuring improved aerodynamics and a responsive pedaling interface, though its long and low ride position may not suit everyone.

Pros
  • Fast and aerodynamically efficient

  • Comfortable ride with vibration-damping features

  • Versatile with modern components like disc brakes and thru-axles

  • Improved handling and stability at high speeds

  • Accommodates wider tires for added comfort

Cons
  • Heavier than some competitors

  • Vague handling at slower speeds

  • Long and low ride position may not be for everyone

  • Some components like wheels may be too specialized for daily use

Key Quotes
"The handlebar can be as personal a touch-point as a saddle," says Alexander Soria, director of product development at Felt.

First Ride: Felt AR Advanced

feb 2020 · David Kennedy

Felt unveiled two models of the AR Advanced, available in either a Shimano Ultegra or a Shimano Ultegra Di2 build.  They have two color options for the build, white or blue. A frameset only option is available in a gray shade as well.  The new AR will begin shipping on March 31st. We expect the higher-end Felt Racing Design models that accompany the Advanced tier frames, to be announced around the same time.
