Riassunto
The Devinci Troy is a highly capable trail bike that excels in aggressive terrain, offering a balanced geometry and superb suspension performance. It's praised for its versatility, handling, and climbing efficiency, making it a strong contender for riders seeking a do-it-all trail bike. While it shines on descents and technical climbs, some reviews note its weight and lack of pep on flatter terrain as minor drawbacks.
Balanced geometry
Superb suspension performance
Versatile for all-day epics
Excellent climbing efficiency
Durable and well-designed frame
On the heavier side for a trail bike
Lacks pep on flatter terrain
Seat-tube angle could be steeper
This is a 140mm travel bike that is totally capable of hanging with the bigger bikes all the way up to the edge of the double-crown fork and neckbrace crowd.
The Troy impressed me with its initial sensitivity and eagerness to absorb bigger bumps, while not giving up the support you’d want from a trail bike.
It’s a true downhiller’s trail bike.

The bike rode far better with the additional volume spacer.
A descent focused trail bike
Canadian-made aluminum frame
Comfortable
Not that quiet - needs better chainslap protection
Suspension can feel overwhelmed on repeated hits
On the heavier side for a trail bike

Devinci's updated Troy GX AXS 12S boasts a completely redesigned frame, and it rides plush off the top yet supportive at mid-stroke.

Canadian-made and mindfully modern mountain bikes.

My rides on the new Devinci Troy have underscored why the Canadian bike maker has marketed this model as a “quiver killer.”, With 160 millimeters of suspension travel in the front and 150 millimeters in the rear, the Troy sits right in the sweet spot for riders like me, who want to handle the broad spectrum of terrain, from extended technical climbs to steep, rowdy descents. Ten years ago, Devinci released the first rendition of their flagship bike. This model is the fifth generation, built from aluminum in Canada, and features sleek lines and nice looks, with a bit of extra heft that one can expect from a non-carbon frame. But the payoff is a bike that feels undeniably durable and ready to take on the rigors of challenging rides. They've also released the Troy ST (130/140) for those who want a little less travel.

The Devinci Troy has a reputation for its uncompromising, go-big-or-go-home kind of ride. This redesign adds an element of approachability.
Incredibly balanced geometry
Awesome suspension
Long-dropper friendly
Tires that mean business
Tires that could double as boat anchors
Ever so slightly “meh” dropper post lever ergos

The true downhiller's trail bike that’s magnificently capable across vast swathes of terrain types
Stable, calm and composed on the descents
Comfortable and relatively efficient on the climbs
Great spec that requires no immediate upgrades
A true one bike quiver
Seat-tube angle could be steeper if I'm being picky
Suspension rocker might hit some riders' knees
