Riassunto
The Devinci Troy is a versatile and capable trail bike that excels in both climbing and descending, thanks to its Split Pivot suspension design and stiff chassis. It offers a unique blend of enduro bike feel with trail bike functionality, making it a trustworthy partner in various terrains. The bike's geometry and suspension are praised for their balance, providing comfort and efficiency across a wide range of riding conditions.
Versatile and capable in both climbing and descending
Split Pivot suspension design ensures excellent traction
Stiff chassis promotes confident handling
Unique blend of enduro bike feel with trail bike functionality
Balanced geometry and suspension for comfort and efficiency
Seat tube could be steeper
Rear suspension lacks desired progression
Small bump compliance isn't ideal
Over-forked LTD model is expensive
Tire clearance seems limited to around 2.4-inch
The Troy is capable of more than it appears. Ground hugging and traction aplenty.
Without any question or doubt we’d pick the Troy over 95% of the more ‘popular’ trail bikes out there.
Devinci nailed it as far as climbing goes.

The Devinci Troy has a reputation for its uncompromising, go-big-or-go-home kind of ride. This redesign adds an element of approachability.
Incredibly balanced geometry
Awesome suspension
Long-dropper friendly
Tires that mean business
Tires that could double as boat anchors
Ever so slightly “meh” dropper post lever ergos

The true downhiller's trail bike that’s magnificently capable across vast swathes of terrain types
Stable, calm and composed on the descents
Comfortable and relatively efficient on the climbs
Great spec that requires no immediate upgrades
A true one bike quiver
Seat-tube angle could be steeper if I'm being picky
Suspension rocker might hit some riders' knees

Five or so years ago, the Devinci Troy was a kind of thrasher’s all-mountain bike. It had 27.5-inch wheels and a stout frame, plus a progressive leverage curve that was once Devinci’s signature, but now gets lost because the rest of the industry is kinda doing it too. This particular version of the Troy wasn’t…

Devinci's all-new Troy is a 140mm-travel trail bike that’s meant to do all the things, even if some of those things are kinda sketchy.

The 2021 Devinci Troy receives a slew of updates but stays true to its roots
Technical and steep climbs
Technical and steep downhills
Well-suited for aggressive terrain
Finish quality and durability
Parts selection
Hides its weight well
Lacks pep on flatter terrain
On the heavy side for a 140mm bike

Congratulations, you’re currently looking at what we think is the most underrated bike in all of mountain biking right now! Having ridden the new ‘Troy’ for the past few months and being really impressed with its handling package, we find ourselves scratching our heads wondering why the Devinci trail bike isn’t as popular as Netflix or as common as grabbing a kebab after a night out on the beers? Without any question or doubt we’d pick the Troy over 95% […]
