Alcune settimane fa siamo stati invitati in Spagna, ad Ainsa per la precisione, sui sentieri dove si è corsa la tappa delle EWS, a provare di persona la nuova Meta AM 29. With a hard to fault spec, sorted suspension and a great ride feel, the Meta AM V4.2 is tough to pick fault with, but the tall seat tube and heel clipping back-end mean it’ll not be for everyone. Buy if you’re looking for supportive, well-balanced suspension and a good spec, and are leggy enough to work with the tall seat tube
Well supported, progressive suspension that lets you push the bike really hard and feels incredibly well balanced
Nice aggressive angle for going down and steep and stretched enough to make climbing less of a chore, especially considering the weight
Great kit spec that feels solid and good value for money
Good 12mm BB drop that helps you feel more ‘in’ the bike
Great balance of chassis stiffness
Tall seat tube can get in the way, even for quite tall riders
Pivots loosened off after a few days of hard riding
The reach isn’t that long
Wide rear triangle might affect foot placement on the pedals to avoid contact
