Résumé
The Trek Boone is celebrated for its race-ready geometry, lightweight design, and the innovative IsoSpeed decoupler that enhances comfort and compliance on rough terrains. It's versatile enough for cyclocross racing, gravel roads, and pavement, though some reviews note its edgy handling and dated quick-release rear wheel as drawbacks. The bike's attention to detail and custom options, like the Project One paint treatment, add to its appeal.
Race-worthy geometry and lightweight design
IsoSpeed decoupler for enhanced comfort and compliance
Versatile for cyclocross, gravel, and pavement
Attention to detail and custom options
Stable and efficient performance
Edgy handling requires rider concentration
Quick-release rear wheel seems outdated
Limited mud and tire clearance compared to competitors
The Boone remains a cyclocross race bike first and foremost.
The most compliant ’cross bike you can buy — and it's still plenty stiff at the BB.
The Boone has an edgy feel, which requires concentration and rider input to keep it going in the right direction.

Super fast, super fun, and clearly a well-thought-out bike from axle-to-axle. Buy if an awesome cyclocross racer and mixed terrain all-rounder wrapped in one piques your interest
Predictable handling, brilliant cable management, functional and balanced compliance technology, top-shelf carbon quality
Somewhat finicky bottom bracket

We've tested Trek's race-winning Boone cyclocross bike in its 105 spec variant. It uses Trek's IsoSpeed decoupler to help smooth out the ride on rough ground
IsoSpeed decoupler works well to smooth bumps
Tubeless-ready wheels and tyres
Rather edgy handling
Tyres not as grippy as some

We've taken a ride on the latest iteration of Trek's Boone 7 Disc cyclocross bike. It's race-ready, will let you daydream of racing along side your Telenet-Fidea teammates and features a rather unique "bass boat" paint scheme.

The Trek Boone 9 would make a fantastic cyclocross racing bike, but more importantly it’s a whole heap of fun.
Great fun to ride
Light for a CX bike
Tyres feel slow
Over-braked

A race bike at a fair price point, the Boone offers comfort, stiffness, and an excellent overall design, despite a few imperfections.
