Résumé
The Specialized Camber is praised for its lively and confident ride, with sorted handling that feels nimble yet predictable. Its suspension, often featuring the Autosag valve for easy setup, delivers efficient and vice-free performance, making it a capable cross-country bike. However, some reviews note issues like potential pedal strikes and a lack of a thru-axle fork.
Sorted handling and assured cornering
Easy suspension setup with Autosag valve
Lively and confident ride quality
Light and stiff frame design
Efficient and vice-free suspension performance
Watch out for pedal strikes
Lacks a thru-axle fork
Rear shock can feel sluggish or over-damped in some cases
Could use a dropper post on certain models
The Specialized Camber Comp is a dialled trail companion
It's a decent weight at under 27lb and delivers a lively yet confident ride.
The top-shelf S-Works Camber combines 110mm of plush and efficient FSR suspension with Fox Float CTD Factory Series with Kashima coated shock with a premium component package for uncompromising and versatile trail performance.
The new 29er-only range will start at £1,500 instead of £2,000, and Specialized has even managed to match the weight of the 26in Camber too. We’ll drink to that!
The Cambers are so fast and easy to ride that they almost disappear into the ride.

Well, there’s really not too much to say; this bike is exquisite. When you spend some time assessing the whole (massive) Specialized mountain bike range, it’s easy to pass over the Camber series. It’s somewhat overshadowed by the whippet-esque racing performance of the Epic line and the legendary versatility of the slightly longer-travel Stumpjumpers. But …

Totally dialled trail performer that’s just a couple of component tweaks from perfection

It's no secret that here at MBA we have touted the 29er's benefits in many cross-country and trail situations. But with the recent push for longer-travel

The fact that there’s a carbon version of the Camber 29 and more models than in the 26in version, speaks volumes of Specialized’s commitment to 29in wheels.
