Résumé

The Scott Genius is a versatile enduro bike praised for its lightweight design, adaptable wheel sizes, and efficient suspension system. It excels in climbing and offers a playful, confident ride on descents, though some riders find the TwinLoc system cumbersome. The bike's geometry and suspension setup are frequently highlighted as strengths, making it a strong contender in its category.

Pros
  • Lightweight design for an enduro bike

  • Adaptable wheel sizes with flip chip technology

  • Efficient suspension system with TwinLoc remote

  • Updated geometry for improved handling

  • Versatile performance across climbing and descending

Cons
  • TwinLoc remote placement can be inconvenient

  • Some models come with narrow handlebars

  • Component choices may not suit all riders

  • Suspension can feel less supportive on rough descents

Key Quotes
29 or 27.5 plus: There are stock options with either size, but every Genius can switch between the two with the flip of a chip.

Scott Genius 920 review

mars 2018

Scott's all-new Genius range packs 150mm of travel into a chassis with progressive geometry and your choice of 650b or 29er wheels, both shod with extra fat rubber. This Genius 920 sits near the top of the range, using a carbon front triangle paired with an alloy rear and 29" wheels. Overall, it's a hugely impressive long travel trail bike but this particular build has a few componentry bugbears.

Tested: Scott Genius 920 2018

déc. 2017

2018 sees the biggest leap yet for the Genius platform. With a brand new frame design, 150mm of travel, 29″ wheels with big rubber, and pretty laid back geometry, this latest Genius pushes the bike further away from its roots. The Genius platform began life with victory in the XC Marathon World Champs in 2003 under …

Points forts
  • Surefooted and willing when it all gets rowdy.

  • Heaped piles of traction.

  • Still a very versatile machine.

Points faibles
  • More lethargic than earlier versions.
