Résumé

The Scott Genius is a versatile enduro bike praised for its innovative TwinLoc suspension system, offering adjustable geometry and efficient climbing capabilities. It excels in agility and handling, though some reviews note a lack of stability on high-speed descents. The bike's design caters to a wide range of trail conditions, making it a strong contender in the enduro category.

Pros
  • Versatile trail-oriented package

  • Optimized climbing efficiency

  • TwinLoc system for three riding modes

  • Lightweight and agile feel

  • Adjustable geometry

Cons
  • TwinLoc clutters the cockpit

  • Lacks stability on rough, high-speed downhills

  • May not appeal to super-aggressive riders

  • Heavy for some models

Key Quotes
The Genius was engineered to be a true quiver killer.
BIKE Magazine logoBIKE Magazine
It’s a strange amalgamation of a bike, seemingly cobbled together from onto which is grafted a mishmash of geometry theories, and all mated to wheels that wouldn’t look out of place on a fat bike.
Bicycling
The new Genius gets a supportive four-bar suspension layout, which could hardly feel more different to the old design

The basis of the Scott Genius 720 layout comes from the Scott Spark, which means it gets an upside down shock, cradled in a Trunnion mount at the down tube.

Points forts

Scott Genius 920 review

mars 2018

Scott's all-new Genius range packs 150mm of travel into a chassis with progressive geometry and your choice of 650b or 29er wheels, both shod with extra fat rubber. This Genius 920 sits near the top of the range, using a carbon front triangle paired with an alloy rear and 29" wheels. Overall, it's a hugely impressive long travel trail bike but this particular build has a few componentry bugbears.

SCOTT Genius 700 Ultimate review

déc. 2017 · Christoph Bayer

The engineers of the all-new SCOTT Genius 700 Ultimate have pulled out all the tricks. The bike not only looks outrageously good, but it’s also record-breakingly light too. Its top spec and potent geometry, on paper the Genius promises to be a grin-inducing machine – we couldn’t wait to test it out on the trail!

First Impressions: Scott Genius 920

nov. 2017

What are we looking at here? It’s a 150mm-travel 29er, with the trail bike category in its sights. Although this bike recently won the Enduro National Champs under Rowena Fry and Izzy Flint (read about it here), we would shy away from positioning it as an Enduro machine. It casts a broader net. A 150mm 29er …
