Propain Hugene 2021 in review - Off-the-peg uniqueness

juin 2021 · Peter Walker

Custom bikes are awesome! The guys at Propain know this well and let you build your very own dream bike using their extensive configurator. This is also possible with their smallest family member, the Hugene, which offers 140 mm rear travel. For our test bike, we picked the burliest fork available in the configurator, a 150 mm FOX 36. Nevertheless, the bike still climbs like a rocket! But how does it fare against the competition of our big group test?

Points forts
  • Very extensive configurator

  • A real rocket uphill

Points faibles
  • Demanding downhill

  • Very loud downhill

  • Poor paint quality
