Résumé

The Pivot Shuttle is a high-end trail eMTB that combines lightweight carbon fiber construction with advanced Shimano motor systems and DW-Link suspension for a ride that's both efficient and playful. Reviews highlight its modern geometry, premium components, and stealthy design, though its high price and some practical drawbacks like battery removal complexity are noted. The Shuttle excels on flowing trails but may lack confidence on steep descents.

Pros
  • Lightweight carbon fiber frame

  • Modern geometry with slack head angle

  • Shimano EP8 or E8000 motor systems

  • DW-Link suspension for efficient climbing and smooth descending

  • Stealthy design with integrated battery

Cons
  • High price point

  • Complex battery removal process

  • Limited travel for an eMTB

  • Some builds lack shift detection

  • Not ideal for rough or steep terrain

Pivot Cycles Shuttle Review

nov. 2019

Price: $9999.00 | Model Year: 2019 | A premium full suspension electric carbon fiber mountain bike with an all Shimano setup, 140mm travel, large 27.5

Observations
  • A premium full suspension electric carbon fiber mountain bike with an all Shimano setup, 140mm travel, large 27.5" plus sized tubeless tires, dropper seat post, all while remaining lightweight

  • Shimano STePs E8000 drivetrain is powerful but compact, features hidden battery integration that stays secure via 8 hex bolts, and a protected minimalist display that adds to the purist feel

  • Durable Shimano XT derailleur with Shadow Plus clutch and electronic Di2 shifting, precise Shimano Saint hydraulic disc brakes with quad-piston calipers and large 203mm rotor in front with 180mm in the rear

  • Premium price, display can be difficult to reach and sometimes read, battery takes a while to remove and put back in, most will be charging on the bike only
