Résumé

The Nukeproof Giga is a high-performance enduro bike that excels in speed and handling, particularly on rough and fast terrain. Its well-measured suspension and balanced geometry inspire confidence, though it may demand more effort on climbs and narrower trails. The bike's design and build quality are frequently praised, with attention to detail in frame protection and component selection.

Pros
  • Beautifully balanced geometry

  • Well-measured suspension

  • Terrifyingly fast through the turns

  • Solid parts package

  • Ample scope for tuning the rear suspension

Cons
  • Fork isn’t as forgiving as some

  • Not the easiest going on the climbs

  • Dual lockring grips feel dated and less comfy

  • Rear suspension bobs on climbs

  • Lacks agility and nimbleness on narrower trails

Key Quotes

Field Test Review: 2023 Nukeproof Giga 297 - Is Parkduro a Thing?

oct. 2023 · Mike Kazimer

The Giga's geometry numbers are well suited to its intentions, and overall it's an easy bike to handle – it doesn't feel super stretched out, but the slack head angle gives it a long enough wheelbase to keep it stable. .

Points forts
  • Well spec'd for the price

  • Reasonably light considering its intentions

  • Good geometry makes it very manageable

Points faibles
  • 165mm cranks would help on the climbs

  • Has a tendency to sit deep in its travel

  • Same chainstay length for all sizes
