Budget Bike Shootout: Marin Hawk Hill 1

juin 2020

Best performance to price value, the Marin Hawk Hill 1 is an easy recommendation to beginners and budget-minded riders who want to get into the sport. It’s got good bones, solid geo and will benefit from upgrades down the road as you evolve as a rider.

Marin Hawk Hill 1 review

juin 2020 · Mick Kirkman

Flicky, feisty and well-balanced, the Hawk Hill isn't perfectly specced but sure is a lot of fun

Points forts
  • Tons of attitude and fun factor ensure the Hawk Hill is a real blast

  • Suspension tune and front-to-rear balance are well worked out

Points faibles
  • Drivetrain feels noticeably soft, in terms of engagement and power delivery

  • Not having a dropper post is a negative mark

  • A lot of smiles for not much money

Points faibles

Marin Hawk Hill 3 review

déc. 2018

The Marin Hawk Hill 3 is a 120mm full susser that can hold its own with the big bikes, is well specced and comes in at a very reasonable price too. It’s hard to fault this versatile bike, whilst not ground breaking in terms of design or geometry it does its job of being a fun and capable trail bike very well indeed.
