This is a game-changer of an e-bike. We didn’t expect to see both a 750W hub motor and a Pinion gear box for less than $2000. This is a remarkable design that reminds us how few companies produce e-bikes as chock-full of value as Lectric. I’m not ready to call this the e-bike of the year just yet—it’s only March—but it’s going to be in the running for sure, but more importantly, this will be disruptive to the industry.

This is the sort of e-bke that has the potential to coax even more people out of their cars thanks to its combination of power, ease of use and maintenance-free operation. We were in Tempe, Ariz. for the launch and spent some time in a community called the Culdesac, which is an asphalt-free and car-free development. The Lectric ONE was perfect for getting around.

Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but I think they nailed the name as well. This could serve as the one e-bike in my life if I’m looking for to commute to work, go to the grocery store, just ride around town. It’s a ton of fun to ride and I think it’s going to appeal to a lot of people.

Considering its combination of handling, features, power and price, I couldn’t be more impressed. I’d honestly expect, based on my riding experience alone to cost more like $4000-$5000. CHECK BEST PRICE
