Résumé
The Ibis Ripmo is a highly capable trail bike that excels in both climbing and descending, thanks to its efficient dw-link suspension and modern geometry. It's praised for its agility, comfort, and versatility, making it suitable for a wide range of riding styles. While it's generally well-received, some reviews note the higher price point and the optional nature of certain upgrades as potential drawbacks.
Efficient dw-link suspension for excellent climbing
Modern geometry enhances stability and comfort
Versatile performance suitable for various trail conditions
Lightweight and agile handling
High-quality construction and attention to detail
Higher price point for certain builds
Optional upgrades can add to the cost
Some components may not meet all riders' preferences
The Ripmo came to party.
The Ripmo is fast and very maneuverable in tight terrain
The numbers show the Ibis Ripmo mountain bike to be longer than it’s smaller wheeled brother, the HD4. Riding the bike shows differently.
In a category that’s breeding like rabbits, the Ibis casually struts into the room with a strong offering and a unique approach to the 160mm travel 29er game.
The Ripmo is both a playful trail bike and a potent enduro rig!

Can the Ibis Ripmo mix the brand's legendary climbing performance with the confidence of a long-travel 29er enduro plough? Guy Kesteven reports
Lightweight, super tight frame and suspension feel for power multiplication and precision
Aggressive seat angle translates into insane traction on the steepest challenge climbs
Premium brand means high cost and standard shock has limited tuning
Suspension struggles between chattery start and sudden blow through on DH trails

Ibis recently entered the long-travel 29er game with its Ripmo, which is described as a love-child between Ibis’ popular HD4 and Ripley models. Featuring 160 mm front and 145 mm rear travel, aggressive geometry numbers, gobs of tire clearance, a threaded BB, and room for a water bottle inside the frame, the Ripmo appears to check most boxes for today’s enduro bike.

Designed to meet requirements for tough EWS races, the Ibis Ripmo is a longer travel 29er from a brand with reputation for fast pedalling, efficient bikes.
Best shape on test.
Suspension isn’t the most sensitive.
