The Giant Reign 29 convinced us on demanding trails with its enormous composure and stability. Thanks to its active suspension, it doesn’t feel slow or cumbersome either.

the Reign was impressively predictable and more than willing to absorb any mistakes made in the rough, rooty and steep terrain

Giant Reign 29 1 review

avr. 2020 · Robin Weaver

The new Reign offers a very lively, dynamic ride but get it into the really rough stuff and it feels more like a long-travel trail bike than a mini downhill rig

Points forts
  • Fox fork and shock offer plenty of useful adjustment and a really smooth, controlled feel

  • Decent geometry

Points faibles
  • Dropper post needs to be longer on the medium

  • Very direct feel with quite a bit of feedback so not the comfiest bike on rough trails

The grin. The grin knows. The grin can appear anytime, when you press or twist too hard on the throttle, at the oh-so-serious work meeting, when you get a call from the mad mate from your murky past who tells you that they are in town, or when the late-night shots arrive. The grin knows. The grin is never wrong. The grin doesn’t know what is correct or what is not, he or she just hides away, waiting for when […]
