Résumé
The Fuji SL series is celebrated for its exceptional lightweight design and climbing efficiency, making it a favorite among racers and KOM hunters. Its handling is agile and precise, though some riders may find it twitchy or nervous, especially on rough surfaces. The bike offers a balanced ride quality with a mix of stiffness for power transfer and comfort for longer rides, though component choices and road buzz can affect the overall experience.
Extremely lightweight
Excellent climbing efficiency
Agile and precise handling
Balanced stiffness and comfort
High-quality frame construction
Twitchy handling for some riders
Road buzz and discomfort on rough surfaces
Component choices may not match frame quality
Lack of stiffness in certain conditions
the SL 1.3 was one of my favorite road bikes to ever ride
Where it really excels is in its handling.
It may react like a startled whippet but strangely it never feels like you’re anything but in control.
The Fuji SL 1.1 shoots up the climbs like a mountain goat while inspiring with its outstanding efficiency.

Rides just like the rim brake version, hydro disc brakes

Can a bike ever be too light? Fuji doesn’t think so…

Fuji has succeeded in creating an incredibly light and stiff race bike, though that’s not the full story out on the tarmac.

It isn’t often that I pick up a bike and am almost afraid to ride it. Fuji’s 14.17lb/6.44kg SL 1.3 was a bike I’d been wanting to try since it was first announced back in August. Taking into consideration that a bike this light is bound to spend time on the hills. Even with the 695 gram frame being a climber’s dream, the …
