Résumé
The Focus Jam2 trail bike is praised for its modern mountain bike feel, with a mix of positive and mixed reviews highlighting its Shimano STEPS motor integration and clean design. However, some reviews note issues with suspension performance and handling under load.
Clean, informative Shimano Steps display
Shimano electric motor and integration are excellent
Lightweight design with balanced weight distribution
Long range with optional TEC-Pack
Agile handling due to reduced overall weight
RockShox fork lacks stiffness and damping
Rear end tends to wallow under load
Requires an active riding style
Display lacks Micro-USB port for charging devices
Motor lacks shift detection
Focus has done an excellent job solving the weight vs range problem of modern e-bikes.
The Shimano electric motor and integration are excellent, some of the cleanest I’ve seen which goes a long way visually.
The FOCUS JAM² is a feast for the eyes, stealing the show with its slim silhouette.

New Focus Jam2 is balanced, versatile e-bike that gets back to the essence of trail riding. Good value and boasts excellent new Bosch Performance CX motor.
Versatile, back-to-basics trail e-bike with strong motor and excellent range from 625Wh battery.
Good value.
Not the most agile, dynamic e-bike.
Control units are still oversized and vulnerable.

The FOCUS JAM 6.8 NINE is the underdog of this group test. Priced at € 2,199 it is by far the most affordable bike in the test field.
Very comfortable on long rides
Good-natured, easy handling
Very fairly priced
Rear suspension bobs when pedalling out of the saddle
Rear tire rubs on the frame
Dropper post hasn't got enough travel

The FOCUS JAM² is a feast for the eyes, stealing the show with its slim silhouette. However, looks aren't everything, so we were all the more excited to see how the bike rides.

We’ve been massively impressed with Focus’s super-controlled, alloy-framed, SRAM Eagle-equipped JAM trail bike this year.

Germany’s Focus is better known in the U.S. for their support of cyclocross and XC racing, but the brand is now also gunning to capture a piece of the ever-expanding trail bike market. - Mtbr.com
