the blend of stiffness, pin-sharp handling and refinement the Ostro offers is intoxicating
I didn’t brake through this section riding the Factor Ostro VAM. Boom, a PR that I haven’t been quite comfortable enough to match on other bikes.

A new generation of gravel race bikes
Felt: Stable, planted feel on descents; wide tire clearance (700x50mm); good for non-racers; multiple frame mounts.
Factor: Excellent climbing performance; quick handling; lightweight (sub-18 lbs); premium component spec; aero design.
Felt: Stiff wheels (Zipp 303S) caused rough feedback; knee collision with brake hose on steep climbs; seatpost bottle cage difficult.
Factor: Stiff seatpost; slightly less compliance desired on rough terrain; internal routing complicates travel; aggressive handling requires more focus.
