Résumé
The Factor Ostro stands out as a top-tier aero bike, blending aerodynamic efficiency with real-world usability. It's praised for its balanced stiffness and comfort, impressive aerodynamic gains, and sharp handling. While it excels in performance and aesthetics, some note its high price and race-oriented stiffness as potential drawbacks.
Balanced stiffness and comfort
Impressive aerodynamic efficiency
Sharp and precise handling
Lightweight and competitive with top aero bikes
Excellent blend of real-world usability and on-paper speed
High price point
Race-oriented stiffness may not suit all riders
Some components require careful maintenance
The OSTRO is the bike that encompasses Factor and its presence worldwide.
The Factor OSTRO VAM is, quite simply, an excellent race bike.
the blend of stiffness, pin-sharp handling and refinement the Ostro offers is intoxicating
I didn’t brake through this section riding the Factor Ostro VAM. Boom, a PR that I haven’t been quite comfortable enough to match on other bikes.

A new generation of gravel race bikes
Felt: planted and in control, stable at high speeds, wide tire clearance (700x50mm), lots of frame mounts, good for non-racers.
Factor: excellent climber, quick handling, light weight, premium component spec, 1x44t chainring, Black Inc. bar/stem combo.
Felt: Zipp 303S wheels too stiff, knee colliding with rear brake hose on steep climbs, seatpost bottle cage difficult to use, lacking compliance for all-day efforts.
Factor: 1:1 gear ratio may be too hard for long rides, stiff ride quality, quick handling requires heightened focus on descents, internal routing complicates travel.
