Résumé

The Evil Offering is a versatile and energetic trail bike that excels in climbing and playful handling, thanks to its D.E.L.T.A. linkage system and aggressive geometry. While it offers a balanced and natural-feeling ride with excellent cornering and jumping capabilities, it may not be the best choice for the steepest descents and comes with a high starting price. Reviews highlight its unique suspension performance and fun-factor, though some note a less fluid rear end and less stability compared to competitors.

Pros
  • D.E.L.T.A. linkage system provides efficient climbing and traction

  • Aggressive geometry and unique looks

  • Playful and easy-to-ride with excellent cornering and jumping capabilities

  • Versatile trail bike with a balanced and natural-feeling ride

  • Multiple fork options allow for customization

Cons
  • Starting price of $5,700 is high

  • Rear end feels less fluid in the midstroke

  • Less outright grip, tracking and stability compared with the Wreckoning

  • Not the best in class on the steepest descents

  • High ticket price

Key Quotes
The Offering is a perfectly balanced trail bike, with a helping of that unmistakable Evil maliciousness.

The Offering climbs damn well, and considering what the bike is marketed to do—shred ’til ya’ dead—it may be the most impressive characteristic of the bike.

This 140mm model retains that familiar, close-to-the-ground engaging ride quality, and corners like stink, with a high fun-factor.

Tested: Evil Offering XO1 Fox Build

Take one look at this bike and you can surmise its intentions. Just a mention of the name—the Evil Offering—is indicative of the bike’s desire. With fat blocks of carbon punctuated by swooping lines and aggressive geometry, this bike looks mean.

[Tested] Evil Bikes The Offering Frameset

oct. 2019 · Ian Collins

I’ve been riding the Evil Bikes Offering for 7-8 months now, testing it as a frameset, rather than as a complete bike, and using it as a home base to test various components. At this point it has seen the standard RockShox Super Deluxe RCT as well as the Push 11.6 coil upgrade out back. An incredibly versatile bike, I made a point to ride it extensively in a broad range of its various potential configurations. This includes the higher/steeper setting as well as the lower/slacker setting with a 140mm fork as well as 150mm and all combinations of those

Evil The Offering: first ride review - MBR

juin 2019 · Mick Kirkman

140mm 29er Evil the Offering addresses past issues, and also adds more reach to each frame size so you no longer need to upsize to get a good fit.

Points forts
  • Retains Evil’s corner-shredding attitude with a better climbing position

Points faibles
  • Not my favourite model from my favourite bike brand
