A collaboration between Diamondback, Kevin Quan Studios, and aerodynamicists from outside the cycling industry, the Andean was designed for a singular purpose: wind-defying speed. To dramatically reduce drag at every yaw angle, the design team developed the Aero Core: one large airfoil that begins at the front wheel, transitions over the bottom bracket and exits off the rear wheel. Two aero storage compartments — one on the top tube and another integrated into the bottom bracket area — allow you to carry everything you need on race day without loading up your jersey pockets.
The Andean 3 offers an outstanding component mix. The SRAM Red eTap 2×11-speed drivetrain delivers smooth, intuitive shifting. TRP HY/RD hydraulic disc brakes provide predictable stopping power no matter the course conditions. The wheelset pairs a HED Jet 6 Plus Carbon up front with a HED Jet 9 Carbon for superior aerodynamics.
