Résumé
The Cervélo S3 is a fast, responsive aero bike with excellent aerodynamics and stiffness, making it a top choice for racing and high-speed rides. However, it struggles with comfort on rough roads and has some spec compromises given its high price. The bike's handling is razor-sharp, and it features powerful disc brakes, though some reviews note a lack of modulation compared to competitors.
Fast and responsive ride
Excellent aerodynamics
Razor-sharp handling
Powerful disc brakes
Stiff bottom bracket for efficient power transfer
Harsh ride on rough roads
Lacks comfort compared to rivals
Some spec compromises for the high price
Underwhelming tyre choice
Modulation and feel of brakes not as good as Shimano’s
This is one of the fastest bikes I’ve ever ridden.
Ultimately if you are looking for a fast, responsive bike with the reassurance of disc brakes, the Cervelo S3 Disc is a fantastic option.
A quick bike full of thrills, but only for the deep of pocket.
Cervelo’s S3d is a purebred race machine that compels you to shift into a harder gear, fold into an aero tuck, and go faster.

The Cervélo S3 Disc is claimed to be better than the rim-brake version in pretty much every way. Most importantly, the loss of the rim brake calipers has resulted in a claimed saving of two watts over the standard model

A fast responsive ride
And Cervelo has clearly put a lot of consideration into how to add disc brakes without compromising on aerodynamics

A quick bike full of thrills, but only for the deep of pocket. Buy if you want to go fast and stop fast, and are prepared to make a couple of upgrades to get the best from the chassis
Nimble, responsive ride that’s enhanced by both aero and disc brakes
Some spec compromises for the high price

Faster, stiffer and more responsive than the rim brake version, but comfort is sacrificed

‘Stronger, stiffer, faster’ is the overused tagline for the new World Championship-winning Cervélo S3, the latest Disc Ultegra Di2 model.
