Résumé
The BMC Teammachine SLR 01 is a high-performance race bike praised for its balanced handling, impressive stiffness, and aerodynamic efficiency. It offers a smooth yet reactive ride, with notable improvements in power transfer and comfort, though some reviewers note a slight compromise in compliance on rough roads. The bike's design integrates aerodynamics without sacrificing weight, making it a versatile choice for competitive racing.
Balanced and precise handling
Improved stiffness and power transfer
Aerodynamic efficiency without weight penalty
Versatile performance for competitive racing
Excellent vibration damping
Less compliant on rough roads
Integrated cockpit may complicate servicing
Seat post slipping issues at lower torque settings
Directness may overwhelm newcomers
Lack of included power meter at high price point
Simply, this bike is a pleasure to sprint with.
The BMC Teammachine SLR01 Two seems to have converged the best of both lightweight and aerodynamic worlds into a package that simply begs to be raced.
BMC’s Teammachine remains a showstopper.
First-class aerodynamics for high speed and the best vibration damping for rough roads – the Teammachine SLR01 ONE is the most versatile bike in the BMC portfolio.

Even at first glance, the BMC Teammachine SLR01 ONE leaves no doubt that it wants to be fast on all terrain. The no-frills integration indicates good aerodynamics, while the shallow rims hint that the bike can climb fast. Read here whether the goods match the looks in comparison with the four fastest race bikes of the 2021 season.

Falls short of our expectations on the hills

First launched in 2011, the BMC Teammachine SLR was a first for the brand in a few ways. It was the first to use their Tuned Compliance Concept, and the first to take advantage of their Accelerated Composites Evolution or ACE technology.
