Resumen
The Yeti SB100 is a versatile cross-country bike that excels with its playful and efficient ride, blending climbing prowess with confident descending capabilities. Its Switch Infinity suspension system provides active travel and stable handling, though some reviews note a firm ride or setup challenges. While praised for its geometry and all-around performance, the bike's high price and occasional durability issues are common drawbacks.
Playful and efficient climbing
Confident handling and aggressive geometry
Active and versatile suspension
Water bottle-friendly frame design
Lightweight and stiff carbon chassis
High price point
Firm suspension leading to a harsher ride
Requires tinkering to dial in shock
Occasional durability issues like creaking
Not the lightest in its category
The SB100 sets the bar for how a bike in this non-category should ride.
If you’re lucky enough to be able to afford one though, Yeti’s shortest-travel bike is absolutely addictive, attacking any segment of the trail from the second you clip in.
The SB100 is fast, fun and versatile.
The fastest 100mm travel bike we’ve ever ridden away from the race track.
If down-country were a real category, I'd say that the SB100 is the quintessential example.Pinkbike

Those who have ridden a lightweight 100mm travel 29er will know what we’re talking about when we say there’s nothing quite like it. Aside from efficiency from the small amount of travel, the connection between the rider and the trail is so close, you feel entirely engaged, and every piece of effort you put in is rewarded with …
The bike we wished for.
Lively and confident.
Singletrack speed.
Looks as good as a Yeti.
Creaking Switch Infinity.
Revisions supplied lacked stiffness.
Expensive bike to have such issues.

An XC rig built to get rowdy.

If the SB100 had parents, its pops would have been a trail bike and its mom a cross-country machine, so it's no surprise that the little Yeti feels a lot like a combo of exactly that on the climbs.
More capable than a 100mm bike should be
Short-travel and trail bike geo has its advantages
Incredibly versatile rear suspension
If you're a pure racer, a pure race bike might be faster
Short-travel and trail bike geo has its disadvantages

This has been the year of new, progressive cross-country bikes and the Yeti SB100 is one fine looking XC rig. We spotted this ripper at the Yeti booth and

The Golden, Colorado, brand has turned its eye to bringing that same inspired handling and lauded Switch Infinity suspension system to a short-travel bike that seeks to be as adept on the race course as it is at tackling lines typically reserved for longer-travel machines.
