The R.1 defines the modern road racer, with a robust but spare design that still weighs in among the lightest frames on the market. No modern refinement has been overlooked, including oversize tapered head tube for steering precision and control, flat mount disc brakes for stopping power and modulation, and full internal cable routings that cut drag and preserve the spare aesthetics. Thru axles enhance handling and safety, and are also compatible with the latest wheel standards. The oversize bottom bracket adds frame stiffness and pedaling efficiency, while the underside port makes cabling and maintenance a snap. Key stress points throughout the frame are reinforced for strength and rigidity, yet the lean drop seat stays and fork legs make for a silky ride.
