Resumen
The Scott Genius is a versatile enduro bike praised for its innovative TwinLoc suspension system, offering adjustable geometry and efficient climbing capabilities. It excels in agility and handling, though some reviews note a lack of stability on high-speed descents. The bike's design caters to a wide range of trail conditions, making it a strong contender in the enduro category.
Versatile trail-oriented package
Optimized climbing efficiency
TwinLoc system for three riding modes
Lightweight and agile feel
Adjustable geometry
TwinLoc clutters the cockpit
Lacks stability on rough, high-speed downhills
May not appeal to super-aggressive riders
Heavy for some models
The Genius was engineered to be a true quiver killer.
It’s a strange amalgamation of a bike, seemingly cobbled together from onto which is grafted a mishmash of geometry theories, and all mated to wheels that wouldn’t look out of place on a fat bike.Bicycling
The new Genius gets a supportive four-bar suspension layout, which could hardly feel more different to the old design

The basis of the Scott Genius 720 layout comes from the Scott Spark, which means it gets an upside down shock, cradled in a Trunnion mount at the down tube.
Does everything very well
But lacks sparkle

The Genius was launched back in 2004 when Scott saw the need to add a well-rounded trailbike to its lineup. Over the last 14 years the Genius has

Scott's all-new Genius range packs 150mm of travel into a chassis with progressive geometry and your choice of 650b or 29er wheels, both shod with extra fat rubber. This Genius 920 sits near the top of the range, using a carbon front triangle paired with an alloy rear and 29" wheels. Overall, it's a hugely impressive long travel trail bike but this particular build has a few componentry bugbears.

Scott introduced the new Genius in Aosta, Italy, a place littered with the perfect trails for this type of bike: a classic trail bike. With 150mm front and rear travel, and the ability to mount 27.5 Plus or 29 tires without having to change any components, although you may want to change settings in the flip chip depending on tire width and wheel size. With 170 mm of custom-tuned Fox suspension front and rear, the Scott Genius LT 710 could be forgiven if it only performed well at the bike park. But with Scott’s NUDE rear shock and TwinLoc design, which simultaneously adjust the front and rear suspension between two travel lengths and three modes with the push of a button, the Genius LT has the capacity to change on the fly from a full-on enduro bike to something that pedals more like a short travel trail bike.

The SCOTT Genius 710 Plus looked like a plumped up underdog. But is truely the potential ringer in this group. Get impressed by our review of this fun bike.
