Resumen
The Pivot Firebird is a high-performance enduro bike praised for its excellent suspension, climbing efficiency, and descending capabilities. It features a plush ride with a late ramp-up in suspension stroke, making it unflappable through demanding terrain. The bike's lightweight yet stout frame, combined with Super Boost Plus, allows for a lighter, stiffer ride. However, it requires initial suspension setup adjustments and comes at a premium price.

The faster and rougher the trail becomes, the happier the Firebird 29 becomes.
It would turn out to be the most fun I’ve ever had on the trail.
The amount of traction on hand is almost unbelievable.
For the first time in a long while here’s a bike that looks that delivers a ride as good as its looks.
The Pivot Firebird 29 is a high-end enduro bullet that only really blossoms at high speeds and on rough trails.

Pivot Firebird 29 Words & Photos By Andrew Villablanca Building off the pedigree of the Firebird 27.5 and Phoenix DH bike, the Pivot Firebird 29 is bred for the steepest, gnarliest and most heinous trails you’d consider pointing a single crown bike down. Unlike the Phoenix however, the

Watch our full video review of the Pivot Firebird 29 below! This is a bike that gets lots of attention. Chris Cocalis, the bossman at Pivot, has a reputation for strong opinions, a zero-compromise attitude and obsessive attention to detail. It’d make him a hard first date, but it means he designs a very good bike. …
Typical high-end Pivot construction.
Incredibly capable suspension.
Stable and confident without feeling oversized.
Under-the-down tube bottle mount. Short rear end will divide opinion.

Pinkbike's tech editors choose between the Pivot Firebird, Devinci Spartan, and the Scott Ransom. Which one would you pick?

Bigger and faster are what the Firebird 29 wants. Big, square-edged hits? It yearns for them. Steep climbs? Maybe not. Supportive pedaling? Yes.

When Pivot Cycles presented the brand new 29-inch wheeled Firebird last month, we mentioned that we received a sample for testing. The test set-up we rode is called the “Pro XT / XTR 1x” and although it is placed in the entry to mid range level of the numerous spec options from Pivot, it is still equipped with an excellent level of componentry. Many of which sit at the top of the range with other bike brands. Thanks to the long summer days and warmer temperatures, I was able to test this beast in a wide variety of situations, from the bike park to the alpine trails

Pointed downhill, the Firebird 29 had an uncanny way of sucking up hits, it felt like a sorted enduro bike with every bit of 162mm rear travel delivered smoothly.
