The Merida One-Forty 600 is an entry-level, mid-travel 27.5" trail bike from the company's extensive full suspension bike range. It gets the same suspension linkage as the long travel bikes for a bottomless feel, but it's coupled with dated geometry – and an undergunned fork that lets the bike down.

For 9 months I've been riding the 140mm alloy Merida One-Forty 27.5" trail bike that exceeds expectations, a truly fun to ride affordable all-mountain bike!

One of the most exciting bikes of MERIDA is the MERIDA ONE-FORTY 800, which delivered a convincing performance in this group test.
Excellent performing rear linkage
Very balanced and fun handling
Very comfortable
Fork doesn't do the bike justice
Wide tires feel undefined
Chainstay protector too thin

The new Merida One-Forty 800 is chunky on the scales as a complete package and okay rather than outstanding value on paper.
Outstandingly connected yet still playful ride quality, superb suspension and tyres, one of the best mid-travel bikes we’ve ridden
Relatively heavy, you can get a similar spec for less cash

Merida One-Forty: the right tool. When you want to carve up a turkey, you don’t use a spoon. And when you want to rip a trail, you don’t want some flim-flammy noodle cycle. You want a bike with purpose and guts. Maybe it’s just the colour which gives it the appearance of a piece of …
Sturdy, tough feeling construction.
Great value build kit.
Rims aren't taped for tubeless out of the box.
