Resumen
The Kona Process X is a robust enduro bike designed for aggressive riding on steep and rough terrain, offering stability and traction with its long wheelbase and slack geometry. It features adjustable suspension and geometry, making it versatile for different riding styles and conditions. However, its performance on moderate terrain and climbing efficiency are areas where it may not excel as much.
Stable and confident on steep, rough terrain
Adjustable geometry and suspension for versatility
Excellent traction and composure at speed
Full carbon frame option with high-end specs
Mullet-ready setup for customization
Less efficient on climbs and moderate terrain
Can feel cumbersome in tight or slow sections
Higher price point for top models
Some components may require upgrades for aggressive riding
This is the bike lock out levers are made for
The Process X feels underwhelming on slow trails but comes to life on steep, rough terrain.
The Process X is like the neighbour that always wants to go hard.

The Process X CR is the longest-travel bike in Kona’s portfolio. We’ve tested it for you.
Suspension generates tons of traction
Composed
Short seat tube and long-travel dropper post ensure plenty of freedom of movement
Cables rattle against the frame
Rear suspension lacks support
Cumbersome in tight trail sections

Same bruiser personality, in aluminum.

Predictable suspension feel on trail
Easy suspension setup
Adjustable chainstay length, ability to run 27.5 rear wheel
The bike looks good!

The Kona Process X is the most Kona-esque bike we've seen in years. It's fast, burly and can take any downhill you put in front of it.
Unrivaled stability
Ultra supple, ground-hugging suspension
Smart spec
Smart geo-adjust choices
Mullet-ready setup
Lockout lever is necessary for climbing
Not a daily driver for most
You need to buy a park pass

nov 2020 · Mike Kazimer
The Process X has a big presence on the trail... It's happiest at higher speeds, and on terrain where there's room to let it run.
Chainstay adjustments make noticeable difference
Reasonable weight considering capabilities
Mullet compatible, plenty of room for long dropper posts
May be too long and slack to be enjoyable on more moderate terrain
There are only two complete models, and neither one is inexpensive
Some riders may want more support from Super Deluxe shock
