Key Quotes
Balanced. A lot of it comes down to the bike’s geometry.

This bike is oh-so comfortable and capable thrashing down rough technical trails
Bikerumor logoBikerumor
The Warden LT almost feels like a modern take on the freeride bike from yesteryear.
NSMB logoNSMB
It’s a bike that’s going to transport you to the top of a hill in a non-rushed fashion, and then make you smile on those technical, steep and tricky descents, the ones where your satisfaction comes from clearing a section of tech rather than death gripping and hitting it as fast as humanly possible.

Review: Knolly Warden LT

ago 2021 · Dan Roberts

Flat out speed isn't the Warden's forte, but it excels in the steeps and in softer terrain.

Máximos
  • Confidence in steep and tech lines

  • All-day and all-trail ability

  • Fun, maneuverable and calm character

Mínimos
  • Not the best option for flat out and rough terrain

  • Geometry and sizing quirks to be aware of

  • Cable routing, protection and pivot details need attention

Riding the 2021 Knolly Warden LT

nov 2020

Knolly has a new series of bikes out. I've been out on the Warden LT, and here to report on what it's like.

Máximos
  • Steep seat tube angle for climbing

  • Playful and agile handling

  • Stiff and precise aluminum chassis

  • Excellent Fox Float X2 shock and Fox 38 fork

  • Well-thought-out build kit overall

  • Compact wheelbase makes it fun on tight technical trails

  • Great fun on steep, technical terrain

  • Beautifully made, durable frame

Mínimos
  • Stock EXO+ MaxxTerra tires inadequate, prone to flats

  • Bike was noisy (seat post creak, cable rattle, front end creak)

  • Left crank fell off on third ride

  • Derailleur exploded prematurely

  • Short rear center felt nervous on faster, rougher trails

  • Compromise: needed conscious weight shifting

  • Suspension not progressive enough, bottomed out frequently

  • Bushing friction initially significant

  • No bash guard included

  • Geometry feels a bit dated

Review: The Knolly Warden LT eats up the rough stuff without losing its balance

jun 2020 · Steve Fisher

Knolly's Warden LT makes short work of rough terrain, but it's not just a big softie. It also has a supportive side that encourages you to earn your turns!
