We have spent the last few weeks intensively (no pun intended) riding it at Punta Ala. DT Swiss 1200 XRC wheels’ narrow internal rim width caused unwanted tyre roll during aggressive riding. The Schwalbe Nobby Nic tyres could do with more front-end traction under hard cornering

The Spider 275 Carbon Boost is the latest offering from Intense and the mid-travel trail bike fits neatly into the Temecula, Calif. brand’s venerable lineup. With 27.5-inch wheels, adjustable 115 mm or 130 mm rear travel, a 67-degree head angle, short 419 mm chainstays, and generous 445 mm reach (size medium), the Spider 275 represents a new breed of light and snappy but surprisingly capable mid-travel trail bikes.
