Resumen
The Ibis Exie is a lightweight, efficient cross-country bike designed for speed and endurance, with a focus on modern geometry and sustainable manufacturing. It excels in climbing and handling, offering a playful yet precise ride. While it performs admirably on moderate terrain, it may show limitations on more technical descents.
Lightweight and sturdy frame
Efficient pedaling platform
Modern geometry for confident handling
Sustainable manufacturing in the USA
Excellent small-bump sensitivity
Higher price point
Limited performance on technical descents
Heavier than some competitors
The Ibis Exie, while impressively light, is built for today’s XC racer with a magically sturdy-feeling 2000-gram frame, long wheelbase, and modern geometry.
The Exie is the fastest and most efficient full-suspension bike I’ve pedaled.BIKEPACKING.com
The Exie is meant to be a go-fast race machine, it’s also built to tackle all-day downcountry epics.

Ibis just introduced another limited edition Exie USA – their first with a full paint job to honor Team 31.

The ultralight Ibis Exie is made in their solar-powered California factory. Curious about its bikepacking prowess, we had to review one…
Lightweight and beautiful frame made sustainably in the USA
Extremely fast feeling with an efficient demeanor; could be perfect for ultra-endurance racing/riding
Incredibly sure-footed “stick to the trail” feel
Excellent suspension design handles small bumps incredibly well and feels bigger than it is
Massive frame triangle and built-in “portage handle”
Starts to lose its edge on burly technical downhills
A couple of build specs aren’t ideal, in my opinion, including the Rekon Race front tire and the single-piston brakes

With the climbing efficiency of a 100mm travel bike but with more control and stability descending, the Exie is a cross-country bike on steroids with a unique array of abilities.

jun 2021 · Richard Cunningham
The Exie was conceived to be light enough to trade paint with any World Cup race bike and tough enough to step into the trail bike arena.
