Resumen
The GT Force is a versatile enduro bike praised for its progressive geometry, suspension performance, and value. It excels in rough terrain with its Fox suspension and well-thought-out kinematics, though some models may feel heavy or under-spec'd in certain areas. The bike's agility and speed are frequently highlighted, making it a favorite for riders who prioritize performance over comfort.
Progressive geometry and versatile suspension setup
Excellent value with well-spec'd models
Agile and fast in rough terrain
Fox suspension across most models
Good all-around performance for enduro riding
Alloy frame only, no carbon option
Some models have underperforming brakes
Heavy weight affects climbing efficiency
Requires a committed riding style
Short dropper post on some sizes
The 150-millimeter-rear-travel, 170-front beast offers features and geometry that are impressively progressive.
GT has made a really capable bike with the Force 29 Expert at a very competitive price. An ideal first enduro bike.
It’s not about being as comfortable as possible, it’s about being fast.
If you are someone that doesn’t mind putting in a little extra effort when it comes to climbing for a bike that will obliterate almost anything you throw in front of it, then the force may be for you.
This bike doesn’t hook up or chip away at your momentum even on the roughest trails so straight line speed is impressive.

Martin Maes is undoubtedly one of the fastest riders on the pro circuit and is causing a stir in both the enduro and downhill scene. He was one of the first riders to use a mullet setup. We were really excited to see how a replica of his modified GT Force Carbon Pro would fare on the trail.
Very agile and quick to change direction
Doesn't waste any energy
Super precise and direct
Brake rotors too small for (heavy) riders who are on the brakes more
Not a lot of reserves for big hits – you'll have to absorb those with your body
Top tube height and long seat tube limit your mobility

Race-built pedigree in a well-priced package with solid kit, but disappointing brakes let it down
Geometry and suspension kinematics are well thought out
Fox fork and shock give a balanced suspension feel
Good spec for the price
125mm dropper is a little short for a medium frame
TRP brakes let down a very good bike

The GT Bicycles Force 29 is a brutish, all mountain 29er built with gravity-fiends in mind. It has some great characteristics but also some traits that could make it a bit much for certain applications.

At the end of April, we hopped on board the GT Force 27.5″ for a long term review of the bike. We have been testing the Expert tier build, which retails for $4,199.99. GT dips its toe in the crowded pool of long-travel 29ers, aiming to make a splash with this progressive, aluminum, high-value, big-wheel version of the Force ... Cannonball!

While £4k represents the starting point for some carbon enduro bikes, with GT you get the top of the range model. That model is the GT Force Carbon Pro.
The new LTS suspension is very capable.
Too many holes in the specification.

GT is a brand like no other, there’s good reason that a retro tragic like myself has more GT’s in the garage than any other brand. GT is over 40 years old and has pushed the development of mountain bikes so hard, and the result was some very whacky results and some very popular designs …
Simple, solid, fuss-free.
Force feels short in the reach, choose a larger size for racing.
